Was ‘invited’ for the event (新加坡e乐大赏) for the opening red carpet ceremony at Marina Floating Platform to pillon the celebrities in. Shall keep you guessing who are the lucky ones that managed to land his butt on my Milo…
Here we are at the holding area waiting and cleaning while waiting for further instructions.
Our entry pass for the event and the night ahead. While the public has to queue to get in…
After a quick run through of our duties, we settled down and stood around to see the performers from god-knows-where. Singing to entertain the growing crowd.
While the emcee for the evening is being interviewed…
While all these is happening in front… guess what’s going on in the backstage?

Celebs are coming in to see if they could ride the bike by themselves onto the red carpet.
Above: Zuo Guang Ping (左光平) from Taiwan, figuring out how to operate a Vespa
And guess who else were here?
Energy!
I bet plenty of teenage girls are now so damn envious of us, mixing around with them, shaking hands, small chats, etc. Noticed Milo at the corner of the picture?
Shall refrain from posting too many pictures otherwise my blog might take forever to load. But these are some of the exclusive pictures that noone else could have gotten, remember that you saw it here in my blog.
He Wei Jian (何维健) stonning. Joi Chua (蔡淳佳) and Shi Xin Hui (石欣卉) to his left.
The highlight of the red carpet entry (besides Energy which also caused a huge commotion), was Show Lo (羅志祥). In which, he rode my handsome looking Milo into the sea of cameras. Sadly i did not have my camera on standby to capture the shot as i had to takeover the bike from him once he’s done.
Just to show that he was indeed on my bike, thanks to alvinology.
Once again, i bet some girls out there are hoping they had that chance to talk to him, shake his hand etc. But too bad…
A quick tutorial for him on how to operate my Vespa, and off he go onto the red carpet. He didn’t say much when i talked to him, only clarifying (in Mandarin) the gear change. Not the ‘usual’ friendliness we are familiar on stage/TV. But i shall keep my comments to myself less someone decides to jump on me for something i said.
I shall wait for some media released pictures of Show Lo on my Vespa, should have a couple since there was an incredible number of cameras pointed at him during that night.
Anyways, as the night sat in, i too settled down at my comfy corner near the stage to capture the award’s highlights. Note where i was standing, and amaze yourself with Panasonic DMC-FZ28 18x zoom.
The above was taken with 4x zoom already.
Loving my 18x zoom, and at the same time straining myself with every shot ‘cause i have to keep absolutely still for every shot. Not to mention capturing the exact moment when the artistes stay still.
Gong Shi Jia (龚诗嘉) receiving her award. Not the sharpest of pix though.
Blue lights + smoke makes focusing a tough job.
Wu Jia Hui (伍家辉), completely into his song. Btw, i pillon him onto the red carpet.
Olivia Ong. The lady who brought you the theme song of Little Nonya (小娘惹).
Lam Fung (林峰) was here to grace the occasion too. The crowd went wild at this moment… could see people rushing close to the barricade to capture whatever they could on their camera.
Ya, i was refering to them.
Next up was Energy. Probably the hardest to capture on camera out of all the performers out there simply because they just could NEVER stay still. Too much Energy.
Just to satisfy whoever is google-ing for them, here are a few more pictures of them on stage.
Moving on, we have local comedian-turned-director Jack Neo, which i shall conveniently skip posting pictures of him since i see his face plastered on Taxi advertising air-con (you know what i’m refering to).
Was temporarily distracted by Olivia’s bareback.
Eyes back on stage…
My most satisfied picture for the night (except for the bugger’s head). Yang Zong Wei (杨宗纬) with his Onion Song. The rest of the pictures i have of him are those that reminds me of someone with constipation. But that’s what makes him, him.
Next up, JJ Lin (林俊杰). Flirting with the dancers.
Followed by another local singer: Joi Chua
While JJ Lin makes another return after a change of clothes.
As Stephanie Sun (孙燕姿) prepares to go on stage…
Steph Sun performing with local a cappella group.
Flashing a signature radiant laugh from the Sun.
Finally it comes to the finale of this whole event… the long anticipated Show Lo (羅志祥) performance… Everyone just got crazy as i hear girls screaming at the top of their voice, sounding worse than labour pain.
He walks really fast to the stage. Hardly had the time to compose for a shot.
For the benefit of many Show’s fans, i shall be nice and post a few more pictures of him. Just so that you can stop screaming ok?
With his 2nd award for the night.
Raise it so high up in the air already then check what award it is? haha!
To end the night with a high, he went on to his dance number, amazingly, i managed some passable shots (at least i pass them).
The above shot can fight YZW’s earlier shot as one of my favourite for the night.
Incredible amount of pictures taken for the night. Guess the total figure?
714. Trigger happy night. And it’s one of my most graphic-intensive post to date.
Here’s a last one to pacify all the 羅志祥’s fans.
